GloCo is proud to be a co-organizer of the international conference "Global Forum on Modern Direct Democracy". Together with Democracy international, we are co-hosting Beyond Border: Building Transnational Democracy (Track 4). Program details are being finalized, but watch this space for workshops and panels! We will be learning more about existing initiatives, debating the most effective ways to globalize democracy, and thinking about the technological risks and opportunities to achieve transnational democracy.
City Excursion to Uster Conference participants will have the opportunity to visit Switzerland on a TOUR DE SUISSE of democracy on the 23rd of September. If you are interested in global democracy, come to Uster! GloCo will be hosting events and workshops in Uster. After the launch of the Global Democracy Initiative (GDI) in the town hall of Uster in May last year, we are happy to announce that we will once again be welcomed by the mayor of Uster, Barbara Thalmann, for the city excursion on Friday 23rd of September. We look forward to learning more about important democratic struggles in the history of Uster and having great discussions and exchanges with all the participants on creating transnational democracy.
